“Flower” in the Native language of Samala. A southern French-style blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignane.
A deep ruby colored wine bursting with exuberant freshness and complexity in the aroma. This southern French style blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignane highlight the beauty of the harmonious companionship these rhone varietals share. The aromas of floral, candied fruit, blueberries, and spice are followed by hints of black pepper and red berries. The taste is long, balanced, and full-bodied with flavors of spice, strawberry, blueberry, red licorice, and rose petals. The bright acid in this wine carries the fruit and emphasizes the dense, chalky tannins throughout the silky long finish.

“Grenache/Syrah/Carignane blend is impeccable. Lifted and precise, especially in its aromatics, the 2012 is laced with suggestions of red stone fruits, lavender, rose petal and licorice. A touch of new French oak adds nuance…This pliant, nicely balanced red should continue to drink well…” Antonio Galloni

“A warm and generous wine with supple cherry-red fruit and a gentle polish to its texture. Sunny at its core and leafy at the edges, it would be delicious with a prosciutto and arugula pizza.” Luke Sykora
