Kitá Wines respects the balance of man and its surroundings.  We believe that wine is a balance between soil, climate, location and taste.  Kitá wines feels that winemaking is the heart that carries the voice of the vineyard through to the bottle.  All of our wines have been harvested by hand based on a balance of chemistry and taste to reserve the highest quality.  The fruit is hand sorted in the vineyard and again in the winery to ensure only the best grapes are carried into the wines.  Made from exclusive blocks of both our estate and select vineyards, our wines symbolize the essence of terroir driven winemaking.

2017 T’aya

This southern rhone style blend of Marsanne, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc has a certain opulence, flavored with golden pears and white peaches. The mid-palate while being creamy and complex is also crisp and juicy with flavors of gardenia, peach, vanilla and wet rocks. Balanced with freshness and definition this wine exudes an acitiy that brings the energy to the forefront and allows the lush long finish of spice, pear and vanilla to remain with you.

2017 Grenache Rosé

Grenache grapes are all that are used to create this pale pink salmon colored wine. The seductive aromatics of strawberries and cream, floral perfume, rose petals and cranberries are complemented with a mouth quenching acidity. With its fresh, crisp, dry style the flavors of raspberry and ruby red grapefruit play on the palate. A distinctive pearly minerality balances the tangy berry flavors and harmonizes with notes of tart juicy plums. This wines creamy texture and depth make it a match for almost any dish.

2017 Sauvignon Blanc

2015 Chardonnay

This wine is pale straw gold in color with complex aromas that mesmerize your senses from first encounter. Its aromatics of citrus, Asian pear, honeydew melon and apple are followed by hints of slate and sea salt that invite you to delve into this wine. The natural balance, complexity and elegance of fruit can be attributed to the beauty in the Dijon Clones 76 and 96 and are accompanied with the sandy soils from the vineyard. The maritime influence highlights the lively crisp acidity and purity of fruit. The smooth rich texture elevates the mid-palate and heightens your senses. Lees stirring transcends this wine into a greater dimension. Neutral oak aging and no malolactic fermentation gives a complex round mouth feel that leads you directly into a long creamy yet vibrant finish.

2014 Kalas

The 2014 Kalas is a perfect blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A deep colored wine with immediately expressive aromatics that flirt with your senses. Complex flavors of dark fresh berries, black currant, espresso and eucalyptus highlight the diversity and minerality in the soil.

The style of this wine can be most associated with right bank Bordeaux and it emanates balance. The palate shows a blend of bright crisp acidity, medium body and a culmination of spices, earthy tones and blackberries. Due to its complexity this wine needs time to breathe and mature. The dry chalky tannins have begun to round out but in time will be precise and elegant., July 2017 – 91 Points

This blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignane shares several characteristics with the 2013 Spe’y. It is a deep colored wine that has an aromatic profile bursting with blueberries, violets, truffle oil, cinnamon, and traces of coffee and perfume. The palate is medium bodied; yet balanced with a spicy complexity and hints of candied blueberries and rose petals. This Southern Rhone style blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc shows upfront aromatics of melon, pear, white peach, and honeysuckle, with hints of chamomile.  The mid-palate is perfectly balanced between a racy acidity, minerality and rich creamy flavors.  On the palate this wine is complex with layers of white floral, beeswax, citrus and stone fruits.  This wine highlights the freshness of the stone fruits, intricacies of lees aging and depth in the finish.
